変体がな(Hentai gana)

変体がな(Hentai gana) are old Japanese hiragana. They have not been taught from the change of law of elementary schools on 1900. Most of young people can't read them. Nowadays a little number of shop signs are written in them but they will disappear in decades, I think.

春夏冬(Akinai) It is not heitai-gana. 秋(Aki) was removed from 春夏秋冬(Haru Natsu Aki Fuyu: spring, summer, fall, winter). There is no Aki. "Aki nai" in Japanese. And "Akinai" means "business". This sign "春夏冬中" means "now open". 2008-06-06
